Community Guidelines
Last updated: May 2026
Anoniversity is a space for verified Big 4 university students to speak freely while staying anonymous. Anonymity is a privilege, use it to have genuine conversations, not to harm others. These guidelines exist to protect that space for everyone.
Do these things
- Be respectful and considerate to all students across all schools
- Use content categories accurately so posts reach the right audience
- Report content that violates these guidelines using the report button
- Keep conversations constructive even when discussing sensitive topics
- Respect the anonymity of other users, do not try to identify them
- Support fellow students going through academic or personal challenges
- Use the Big 4 wall for topics relevant to all four schools
- Keep your anonymous name appropriate and non-offensive
Never do these things
- Harass, bully, or target any individual or group of students
- Post sexual, explicit, or pornographic content of any kind
- Use hate speech based on race, religion, gender identity, sexual orientation, or nationality
- Doxx anyone (share or ask for real names, addresses, student IDs, or photos)
- Make threats of violence, harm, or self-harm
- Spam the feed with repeated or low-effort posts
- Impersonate other students, faculty, university officials, or any public figure
- Try to identify who an anonymous user is based on their posts or content
- Encourage others to violate these guidelines
- Use the platform for commercial promotion or advertising without authorization
- Share misinformation presented as fact
- Use automated bots or scripts to interact with the platform

How We Enforce These Guidelines
Reports are reviewed by human moderators. Here's what can happen after a review:
- โข Content removal: The post, comment, or message is hidden or deleted
- โข Trust score reduction: Your trust score decreases based on confirmed violations
- โข Temporary suspension: You cannot post, comment, or match for a period
- โข Permanent ban: Your account is banned. You may submit one appeal.
Severity of action depends on the nature and frequency of violations. Moderators aim to be fair and consistent.
See something? Say something.
Every post, comment, and chat has a Report button. Use it. False or abuse reports may affect your own trust score, but genuine reports help keep the community safe. The reported user is never notified who reported them.
