How to delete your Anoniversity account and what happens to your data
How to delete your account (in-app)
You can request account deletion directly from the app in a few steps:
- 1Open the app and go to Settings (tap your profile or the settings icon).
- 2Scroll down to the Danger Zone section.
- 3Tap Request Account Deletion.
- 4Type DELETE in the confirmation field and submit.
Your deletion request will be processed within 30 days.
Delete by email
If you cannot access the app, you can request deletion by emailing us from your verified school email address at anoniversityph@gmail.com with the subject line "Account Deletion Request". Include your anonymous username in the message. We will process the request within 30 days of verification.
What is deleted
When your account is deleted, the following are permanently removed:
- • Your account and login credentials
- • Your profile (username, bio, avatar settings, school badge preference)
- • Your verified school email address
- • Your direct messages and chat history
- • Your trust score and account-level standing
What may be retained
After deletion, some content may be retained in anonymized form, for example, posts or comments where the link to your identity has been severed. This content cannot be traced back to you after deletion.
Moderation and safety records related to confirmed violations may be retained for up to 12 months after resolution for platform integrity, abuse prevention, and legal compliance purposes. These records are not publicly visible.

Note: Account deletion is permanent and cannot be undone. If you would prefer to temporarily stop using the app, you can simply sign out from Settings without deleting your account.
